I believe this is the first beer I have tried from the Norwegian Amundsen Brewery. There is always something fun about finding something from a brewery you have never tried before. I was aware though that they have some distinct looking products. Their packaging really stands with its unique artwork style. When I saw this one in the local Systembolaget, I knew I had to pick up a can. It’s so eye catching and really represents the general tone of the beer well.
The brew has a deep pink to blood orange hue with a slight pink hint to the foam. Sour raspberries and lingon are strongly represented in the smell and taste, slowly slipping into a light, dry blackberry sour finish that makes you suck your cheeks in. The alcoholic content is well hidden beneath the layers of acidic fruit. It’s a refreshing little number to maybe end the night with but might be a bit too much to have as a session beer. It was definitely worth a try and I look forward to seeing some more of the range when I can.
